Topic tags/keywords: maple rough lumber cherry

Any recommendation for rough lumber sources near Jacksonville, FL (usually work with Maple, Oak or Cherry). Woodcraft too expensive. Preferable dried, but green OK if at a good price. Willing to travel 2 hours for good prices.

They have domestic hardwood. The most exotic as I recall is birds eye maple.
I have purchased up 8/4. I have been able to buy just a couple of pieces at a time. It is all dry.

I was going to look into that place. Being you mentioed the, I called them. The area code is 904. Apparently talking the person on the phone you can not go in and just pick the wood you want, but have to order it and they pull it for you. Also have to set up a business account with them. But I will say the prices she gave me over the phone did sound good. Hopefully not a lot of knotty sapwood. What has your experience with them.

I have had good experience and I keep going back when I need lumber. It only takes a few minutes to set up an account and I have had no problem with quality. In fact I had one board that did not seem as if it would work with the others due to color and I got one that suited me.

See Danny (LumberJock user WDHLT15). He’s in the Perry, GA area. He saws, dries and sells lumber.
