I just finished restoring my Beaver table saw, specs:
8" Beaver Table Saw
48" Fence with one cast iron wing
T-square fence from Delta table saw
Rolling base
1HP 240V Motor with linkbelt
Trued spindle, cuts great
I was wondering what you guys think its worth as I will be needing room soon and hope I didn't spend too much fixing it up.
uMinded, the best I can tell you from experience is get as much as they are willing to pay. You can always go down but it's very hard to go higher after listing a price.
But only being an "8" I would say $100.00 to $150.00 and believe it or not, IMHO that is a high asking prise for an "8" saw.
Good Luck, here in Florida, direct drive saws, (!0") I can get a good used one for $50 - $65.
I'd agree with Mark….I'd guess $100-$150, but ya never know. Being an 8" saw is generally less desirable unless you find someone with serious space constraints, but the long rails are actually a detriment to that buyer.
You did a nice job with the refurb….it's a neat little saw.
I just went on Kijiji and up here a working but not restored Beaver goes for $150 and a Delta contractor saw goes for $200 and a sears with 48" fence goes for $250-300 so I figured $200-250 was a reasonable price.
I was going to keep it but there is an auction right now for a Delta Hybrid with 52" Unifence for $235 and theirs no way I can pass that up!
I will take some more pictures and do a last blog write up on the saw, it was fun to restore.
