I haven’t been too active here for a few months, so may have missed this being brought up already. But while in Lowes today, I saw that they have put the price of the Delta 36-725 back to their original price of $599. A few months ago they lowered it to $549. I still haven’t bought a table saw, as I’m in no rush and have been looking for used Grizzly tablesaws in my area (few and far between for decent ones). When I get to the point I need one, and if I haven’t found a good used saw, my fall-back position is the Delta. Most people seem pretty happy with it for the price. Just disappointed that the price went back up again, not that it is a show-stopper. -- Ken, Blaine Washington |

If Grizzly and Delta were the only tool manufactures on the face of the earth I’d buy Grizzly. It seem at this time Grizzly has been around for a while and has pretty good reputation for getting parts and service. -- Alaskan's for Global warming! |

I noticed the last time I was in Lowe’s that the price has gone back to $599. That was a short lived price reduction. I have the Delta 36-725 and I’am still please with it and I have no buyers remorse. I still think for $599 you can’t go wrong by buying it. |

Is it just me, or am I simply unable to search for the Delta 36-725 on Lowes’ website. It doesn’t find it. Instead I have to use google to search for it and follow the link provided from there. No matter what I do I cannot find it with a manual search on Lowes site. -- Josh // "If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? Yeah, I can get to the page fine when I’ve a direct link. What I can’t do is search Lowes own website to find it. It’s as though it doesn’t exist when searching on their site, and I was curious if I was the only one that was experiencing that. I tried “Delta 36-725” “Table Saws” (the only Delta saw that yields is one that’s $3,000+). Just found it weird that I couldn’t find it by searching their site. Perhaps they haven’t added it to the database that search is querying or somesuch. -- Josh // "If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? I have found it trickier than expected to find the saw on Lowe’s website too. I search under 36-725 and it doesn’t take me directly to it, but shows it in a box that I can click on to get there. Don’t know why they want to hide it. -- Ken, Blaine Washington |

I guess something else to take into account is how the big box stores search engines also have some code involved depending on your location (although my local stores all have at least 1 of them in stock). Surely just a technical problem on their side. -- Josh // "If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? My store has it, but i still find searching for it on Lowe’s site to be hit and miss. -- Ken, Blaine Washington |

j_dubb and alll KDC68 has hit the nail on the head. The problem you are having with the Lowes site is the same you will have with many of the big box store sites. If you have selected a store as “your store” then you will only see the results of that store and not the whole corporation web site. If you come from the outside (Google, etc.) it takes you to the corporation site otherwise it only shows your store’s inventory. Change to another store and it may come up – only if it is in their stock. -- Life is what happens to you while you are planning better things -Mark Twain |

I just typed Delta Saws into their search box and hit the search button, bingo, first saw shown. -- Art, Pittsburgh. |

I just went to Lowes and it has “My Store”. I tried getting rid of it and no luck. I can only change stores. So the moral of the story is to never pick “Your Store” and you always get the corporation site. Find what you want and then search store inventory from there. It lets you do that. You can just type your ZIP and it will search stores within 50 miles to see if they have it. you can clear your cookies, but you will loose other stuff you might want to keep too. |

@thetinman – To that end – most modern browsers have a function to browse without cookies – Chrome has “incognito” (CTRL+SHIFT+N to launch a session). Internet Explorer has “InPrivate browsing” (CTRL+SHIFT+P). Firefox surely has something as well. Looks like that’ll get you there without the hassle of selecting a store. Also – apparently that was the problem. All of my local stores had 1 of them in stock – EXCEPT the one I had selected as My Store, which I didn’t notice originally. -- Josh // "If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down?
