Wordpress just released version 3.9 (Smith) and it’s awesome! Named “Smith” in honor of jazz organist Jimmy Smith, WordPress 3.9 aims to “close the gap” between what you see when creating posts in the backend of WordPress and what you see published on your site. The 3.9 release includes a raft of improvements that build on features in previous versions of WordPress, including quick image editing, the ability to drag and drop images directly into the visual editor, gallery previews, audio and video playlists, live widget and header previews and a whole new experience when browsing themes from the backend. If you haven’t already, head on over to http://wordpress.org for the download or, optionally, just use the automatic update from your wordpress admin panel. I am posting this thread for two reasons. Firstly, because I know for a lot of us WordPress is the platform of choice for our website. The second reason is because I will be launching http://BubCity.com in the next week or so, which is a free WordPress hosting site packed with tons of features to help you build a fantastic website for your woodworking business and/or hobby. I’ll be glad to answer any questions I can, so ask away. -- You can collect dust or you can make dust. I choose to make it. |
