For those of you who use Facebook (yes, I am addicted to it) make sure you stop by the Facebook page and show your support for the site by clicking “like” if you haven’t already. I often share your projects there and sometimes even on my own page.

Go “like” us now just because you’re cool like that. (grin)

I did it. I link to Lumberjocks from my website as well.

Thank you Monte! I have some friends that love woodworking that I want to invite as well.

do you mean that you post pictures of other peoples work off lumber-jocks, to your Facebook page because you admitted your addicted to face book ?

did you ask them if you could borrow their ideas ?

what gives people the right, to think they can borrow whatever they choose ?

if you put the guise, in front of a fool

they will soon wear it

I don’t borrow their ideas. I simply share the link with others. I share them on our Facebook page. For what it’s worth, anyone can share anything that is posted in public as long as they are in no way attempting to claim credit. I simply share a LINK to projects I like. I share them to show others how incredibly talented y’all are. Additionally, the LumberJocks page was here long before I arrived.

Respectfully, if you don’t want others to see or share a link to your stuff, don’t post it online in a public setting.

Enjoy the rest of your evening. Life is way too short to get hung up on someone wanting others to see the incredible projects on this site. :-)

Just to add my .02, I am not on Facebook, I can’t stand the idea of millions of people spending hours at a time updating for their “friends” that they most likely will never meet. Meanwhile, they don’t have the time for their own friends, neighbors and families. This is a generalization, I know, and probably not accurate at all, but it’s my perception. I don’t think less of people if they partake, just don’t wish to do so myself.

That being said, without spreading the word somehow, we at LJ’s would be missing some of the best talent to grace our membership. Over 4 years ago, I was searching how to make your own crown mould and google took me here. I didn’t know about LJ’s then, I tell everyone with an interest now. So please, yell it from the highest platform you can find, which is probably FB.

And before anyone starts, no, I don’t consider myself “some of the best talent”.

I have a rather large family with lots of relatives, facebook is the only way I can easily keep track of them.
Yes, I did “LIKE” Lumberjocks.

Done long ago. Thanks for the update though. Personally I would see it as a huge compliment to have one of my projects LINKED on the LJs facebook page. I would appreciate the exposure. In fact to me this is just further motivation to post projects. THANKS CRICKET.

I have done it a long time ago too…...I have a couple hundred or more “likes” that are woodworking and tool related….
I think that most people/businesses now days use Facebook to promote themselves…..I see things on Facebook woodworking or tool related that I don’t see anywhere else.. I pretty much use Facebook for this reason…..
