Topic tags/keywords: thank you love blessings encouragement you rock

I felt a great amount of gratitude in my heart this morning as I was thinking about what this community of LumberJocks means to me and my family.

I wanted to let you all know that your encouragement, comments, private messages and kindness are helping me LIVE with cancer, rather than just DIEING from cancer!

I am stronger than when I started woodworking five months ago. I am motivated by you to get up and stay up as I make saw dust and even simply look at what you have done. I don’t sleep half of my life away any longer and I have energy that truly has my doctors amazed.

Being a Christian I can honestly say, “EACH OF YOU IS A GIFT FROM GOD IN ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS.”

You may not understand, but every time you take your valuable time to reach out to me and others, you are loving us. Jesus made it simple when He said in John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”

Christian or not, you are fulfilling God’s commandment as you reach out to me and to others on LJs or anywhere else in life.

Bless you all and THANK YOU from a grateful Newbie!

Steve (A Former Know-It-All)

This site has lots of kind caring loving people and we rally around our fellow humans at risk and dealing with everthing from stress to great challenges like cancer. I’m glad you feel and appreciate the care and love given. I hope and Pray you defeat this terrible disease and that you can share the same love given with others around you.
God bless

I have learned from my own life that this is the greatest family you could hope for. I am glad you are feeling better. Your mind can be your best weapon you can have, or your enemy if you let it..

I think your honesty, openness and sense of humor about your fight has engendered a lot of caring and sympathy in the LJ family. You have learned that life should be lived one day at a time. It doesn’t surprise me that you had the doctors amazed at your progress. Your attitude and faith has inspired me immensely. My problems seem so trivial when I read your posts. Thank you for posting. It means a lot to me…..........Wes

Steve, you just convinced me to watch the western channel in my shop, instead of just sitting in the chair. Seems that more and more often I want to make sure I don’t have to look back and feel I wasted a day.

Thanks for your inspiration.

Steve, No thanks necessary. You have given as much as you have received with your great attitude and sense of humor. You have inspired a lot of us to “suck it up and quit whining about things that are not important”. I’ll end with one of my favorite quotes:

Steve, it is my honor to pray for you. I appreciate your posts and that you point people to Christ. And, like Andy mentioned, you have kept a good sense of humor, despite difficult circumstances.

You will get through this just fine…it is just a stumbling block in the road of life. It is good that you don’t let this problem with the cancer get to you but have decided instead to just step over it…

Have your say...
