Your mileage may vary at your specific store, but this is the experience I had yesterday: I’ve spent the last month working on a Roubo workbench, and the glue-up of the top and legs made clear my lack of high-quality woodworking clamps. So I’ve been lusting after a wall full of Bessey k-body clamps. Yesterday I stopped in my local Lowes and they had their Bessey K-body REVO clamps on clearance. You can also get a 10% off any purchase at Lowes using a coupon from the USPS Moving Kit envelope (Free at any post office). My store’s prices were: 24”: $31.95 I bought 2×24” and 2×50” clamps. The total was $142, and the 10% USPS coupon basically cancelled out the tax. On Amazon (which is surprisingly pricey for Bessey Clamps) the same 4 clamps would have been $220. P.S. Double check that the clamps you purchase have all the clamping pads/accessories attached. One of the clamps on the shelf was missing the black plastic cover. |
