Topic tags/keywords: table saw porter cable help

Howdy do,

New to the Forum and hoping someone can help me with my problem.

The good: Picked up a brand new (floor model) of the Porter Cable 270TS for $300 bucks.

The bad: Several parts were broken/missing but i was able to find replacement parts for everything however I cannot figure out how to re-assemble the lift mechanism from the front of the unit into the aluminum cradle (trunnion assembly I think).

Anywho, I have been able to use the schematic to identify all the missing parts and have them on the table. Problem is where the carrier rod and rod assembly go into the aluminum housing I cannot figure out how that is fastened to the unit via the schematic.

I have attached an image of the schematic with my annotations, tonight I will take some good photos of the parts/problem and post. If anyone has one of these and can get a picture or just help me figure out what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.

Figured it out, the aluminum carrier had threads which had been stripped out, they were hard to detect since they were gone.

New carrier on order.

Have your say...
