*Nevermind. I responded to the post within 15 minutesof it going live. Apparently, that wasn’t good enough- someone beat me to it. Thats the first time I’ve responded to an ad that quick….and got beat. I thought I had it in the bag. DAMN

I just responded to a Craigslist listing for a Bosch router kit. I believe its model 1617 (see pic). Anyway, I just committed to buying it, so I hope its worth the $55 asking price. I do have a couple of mid-grade craftsman routers that work pretty well. So I didn’t ‘need’ this one. But I also just got a new table saw with a cast iron router wing. So I might use this Bosch in the router wing.

I have this set…it works well. For $55 it is a great deal if it all works.

I have this set. If it’s in good working order and you get it for $55, then let me be the first to tell you, “YOU SUCK!”

I have 2 of the 1617 kits, and love them. Retail, I have seen it go as low as $180, but it usually goes for a bit over $200. It looks like it is in good shape from the picture. I think you got a great deal at $55.

I’ve got five routers already, but if a deal like that came along, I’d buy it just for the price.

I have that kit plus two other 1617EVS routers. I used one in a table for several years. I don’t need any more routers, but it would be difficult to turn down that deal, if I saw it close to me.

+1 on what bigblockyeti said. This is the exact router I use in my router table. Runs like a dream. I don’t use the plunge, just keep it stored in case I would ever remove it from the table. One thing, I am not a fan of the little round wooden handles, the big grippers on the plunge are much better for hand holding.

Perhaps it is stolen…?? is the only thing that might cause me not to pounce… or you are about to receive a message saying stuff about if you put $100 on an Amazon pay account they will ship it, and you will be refunded the difference, and Amazon will cover the insurance, and refund you if it doesn’t show for some reason… blah blah blah…

If not one of those two… buy it. At the least to sell it.

There is never a reason to not buy a working Bosch router especially at that price!

I paid a hell of a lot for mine. $ 55. Were is the flip the bird symbol. The Bosch rep was there so I got a big pack of ROS sandpaper, which I must say is pretty good, but I can’t buy it locally.

Darn fine machines. AND NO I don’t lend it out. they get the old dewalt that still runs.

Also I got the Bosch cordless MM. I found a lost leader at half price in a big store but only had 2. I got 1. That thing has been a real useful tool. My tiny gloat.

Well never mind!!! Despite responding to the ad, less than 15min after it was posted, I have not received a reply and the post was deleted. I thought I was the best CL stalker in northern Virginia. Apparently not.

I own this kit… at that price jump on it before someone else does. If it’s working well it’s a steal.
