Topic tags/keywords: miter saw adjustments adjustment screw problem bevel adjustment problem blade square to table question problem bevel adjustment adjustment

Hello! I am new here and really hoping you guys might have a solution for me. We have the Milwaukee 12”sliding compound miter saw and the blade is not square to the table. I have tried adjusting the bevel per the manual instructions and further detailed instructions I found online. The problem I am having is that the adjustment screw doesnt seem to being doing ANYTHING. I wedge something behind the bevel lever to keep it in the middle position, loosen the two front screws then turn the adjustment screw and NOTHING. I can turn it all the way both ways and nothing about the blade changes. what am i missing? Everything says this should be super easy to do but absolutely nothing happens when I turn the adjustment screw. Thanks!

first off what is the model number so we can accurately help you

second here my best guess. check the hole the screw goes through, is it stripped. I

also the fence is sometimes knocked out of position, how is the fence secured. on my ridged that is how I adjust my fence. by loosening it and then squaring and tightening. though this might throw of your detents.

Have your say...
