Topic tags/keywords: wanted hardwood mallet I am looking for a dense hardwood blank I could use to turn my own carvers mallet that is approximately 8” long and 3” -4” diameter. I am open to trades or purchasing the blank outright. Thanks in advance. |

would osage orange work? How about American Elm? Maybe Maple, Walnut, I have a pretty good chunk of Osage Orange you can have, you pay shipping. I can get a picture of it tomorrow if you are interested. -- Improvise.... Adapt...... Overcome! |

If you live near a bowling alley, you might be able to get your hands on some of their old pins they throw out every so often. The hard part is to get the plastic off, but there’s some nice maple underneath. |
