This may be more of a question than anything :) I’d like to be able to access the forum via tapatalk on my phone or iPad but it doesn’t come up in the search.am I missing something or is this functionality that would have to be added? Thanks!! -- Beka/Becky - aspiring jill of all trades, still learning to not read the directions. |

I believe it is an android (phone) app that lets you read forums not optimized for mobiles. -- Rick M, http://thewoodknack.blogspot.com/ |

Close! It’s not just Android – there’s apps for the iPhone and iPad (which is what I use). I use it on the tile forum I visit and leverage during a project and it works phenomenally. I always usually have my phone or iPad in the workshop with me (lifeproof and otterbox cases firmly encased) -- Beka/Becky - aspiring jill of all trades, still learning to not read the directions. |

Yeah I’ve started using Tapatalk now that it’s free and browse those forums that support it much more often. This site really does need a mobile version. -- Rick M, http://thewoodknack.blogspot.com/ |

I use Tapatalk to access several forums and it sure is convenient. I even moderate one site with it while I’m out and about. As long as the forum software is one of several that are supported, it looks to be a relatively simple download and install and for basic unbranded use, it’s free. -- None |

Tapatalk isn’t available to us because of the programming used for this site, but this is something the tech team is addressing. -- LumberJocks.com Community Manager |

Thanks Cricket :) I’m surprised this thread has seen activity recently since I started it so long ago (thanks Thiel!) -- Beka/Becky - aspiring jill of all trades, still learning to not read the directions. |

Funny how this thread was dead for exactly 1 year and 20 days when it was resurrected. Tapatalk is annoying—it opens up additional security vulnerabilities in forum software and always prompts you to install tapatalk when viewing the mobile site. I’d rather see the site get a mobile-optimized stylesheet. -- Ask an expert or be the expert - http://woodworking.stackexchange.com |

Rob, that could be what Cricket is referring to. We won’t know until the developers are done though. -- Beka/Becky - aspiring jill of all trades, still learning to not read the directions. |
