Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of hinge I can use on my box project? I want the lid to hang over the back by about a half an inch, not sure what type of hinge I would need… HELP! |

IF you allow the top to overhang the back you will not be able to open the box and leave it open. The top will hit the back, before getting upright, and fall shut. I put my hinges on the outside of my boxes. Simple… just screw them on. -- No PHD just a DD214 Lubbock Texas |

You can use wooden Patron hinges and have the lid overhang the back as I do on many of my boxes. The overhanging lid acts as a stop to hold the lid open at about 100 degrees. These are very easy to do. -- " I'll try to be nicer, if you'll try to be smarter" gfadvm |
