Hello All,

I recently purchased a new to me JET JTS10JF table saw. It’s awesome, older, blue, heavy, powerful, and I love it. I spent many hours getting all the rust off the top, cleaning and lubricating it, setting the stops, leveling the wings, adding a better dust collection system, etc. I’d like to install the splitter, but the previous owner didn’t include it.

I think I can fabricate one out of a piece of steel I have laying around, but I’d like to get some dimensions if someone could measure theirs. The part number that I have is 10103038. The picture from the manual indicates it attaches both to the back of the saw by the motor, wraps around over the table, and attaches again through the throat plate and behind the blade. I’d like to know when the blade is fully raised how much space there is between the blade and the splitter, how tall the splitter is above the table, and the distance between the bolt holes.

Before fabbing a splitter, you might check out the BORK riving knife and see if one will fit your saw. This would give you a true riving knife instead of just a splitter.

I to have this same saw Jet JTS-10JF bought new in 1994. I need a new shaft that the blade is mounted on as the keyway is worn beyond repair and 2 new bearings as long as I am removing the shaft. They seem to be discontinued parts.
Anyone have any ideas ? I am finding nothing on the internet searches :(
Thank you,
Randy 131
