I have a Delta 17-925 Drill Press, and my center shaft broke between the cast iron housing for the bearing and the pulleys. I ordered a new shaft, but I could use some advice on replacing it. Specifically, getting the old broken shaft and bearings out of the cast iron housing, I tried to remove them, but could not. I removed the retaining ring and tried tapping it out to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated -

Thank you -
