My name is Jeremy and I am a woodholic. I currently live in VA and am a disabled Navy vet at 37 years old. Just about 2 months ago I started with a 1/2hp Craftsman router. ..and have moved on from there. Here is a pic of my first caddy I made for my daughter and my first set of hand carved dovetails….so be gentle! Most of all it is an honor to be here!

Welcome to Lumberjocks, Jeremy! Those dovetails look pretty good for your first attempt. I’ve been at this a while, and I haven’t even attempted any yet.

Jeremy, it’s an honor to have you here. We love vets… Of course, some of us are a little biased..being vets ourselves. Great start on those dovetails. Like Charlie, I haven’t had the guts to try yet….

Welcome Jeremy! I have seen worse dove tails made by master craftsmen, who shall go un-named to protect the innocent!

Thank you for your service and thank you for allowing us to join you!

Welcome aboard, Jeremy. Those dovetails don’t look bad at all. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome! The dovetails aren’t that hard actually. Just gotta measure em off and make clean cuts. Ok…I’ll admit. ..they were a little pain in the arse. I’m currently working on a coffee table for the wife so ill post pics of that in my projects section.

Welcome, Jeremy! Very nice dovetails. I’m too afraid to hand cut them, so I use machines!
