Topic tags/keywords: humor christmas santa

Picture this scene -

My youngest finishes opening his presents and notices all the tags that say “Santa” on the from tab. He looks at me and we have this conversation -

“Santa got me a lot of presents this year Dad”

“Yes he did. He was very good to you boys.”

“How come you didn’t get us anything?”

When my boys were young, I made it a point to delegate presents as coming from Santa (even having the tags written by a friend so they wouldn’t recognize the handwriting), and some from myself. That year, I forgot to write my name on any of them.

It took me four years before I could take that credit.

What were some of your humorous “oooppppsssss” stories in your efforts to make the season memorable?

Happy holidays folks!

sounds like the PO is getting ahead david

they do read the requests from kids
and tell santa

guess there aren’t many for you
under the tree

maybe you need to start writing santa too

This happened to some friends of ours. Apparently Santa was getting his “present” from Mom and their daughter came downstairs and caught them in the act. Mortifying at any time, but particularly bad that it happened on Christmas. LOL

Santa Claus to the Rescue

OK, you think this is a problem?

Well, we have a true believer in our family. She is 33 years old, and mentally handicapped. Fortunately, she is small, so when she gets in line to sit on Santa’s knee at Christmas time, it usually, kinda, works out. We tried to tell her what was what many years ago.

But the truth prevailed, and she understands Santa Claus is real, forever.

So, where did we fail in our perception of reality? Her’s seems…....kinda just right, and certainly more enjoyable than, well, what the rest of us are left with.

Reality is sometimes a very elusive thing, and not necessarily worth pursuing.

Merry Christmas All,

Sherie and I are so happy to be home, and enjoying our friends and family, in Alaska, and here on LJ’s.

We have a gentleman in his 40s in the church who is also mentally handicapped and he absolutely loves it when santa comes each Christmas to give out gifts after the children’s play; santa always has something for him. Honestly it is such a simple pleasure for him that it isn’t worth spoiling his enjoyment with the truth and the whole church gets just as much satisfaction seeing him happy with his love of Christmas and santa.

a couple o years ago, about a month after Christmas, I found the Christmas card that I bought for my wife in the drawer of my tool box in the garage where I put it so she wouldn’t see it until Christmas. I did give it to her when I went in there to get a tool for something I was doing… ooooooooooooooops

When I was little, my Mom got the presents mixed up… probably wrapped them all before labeling. My older brother got a new Barbie and my sister got a plastic car model. The funniest part is she didn’t want to trade… she like the plastic model.
