Topic tags/keywords: custom cases exotic vintage receivers home shop affordable reinforced wood semi-retired retired audio music zebrawood cocobolo mahogany cherry kingwood

Hey guys- have been browsing this site for years and something finally dawned on me. Hope this is posted in the correct forum and within the forum rules.

As always that seems to re occur, there is a great deal of traffic, interest, and discussion about really good looking custom cases for vintage Pioneer, Marantz, etc receivers in the forums at

Have admired so many of you all’s projects and finishes, and many of your finished projects would look perfect to fill that need. Maybe some of you can expand by offering affordable custom cases for these beloved and dedicated receivers.

There is decades worth of need and discussion about custom cases, but never a one-stop source or person or company that frequents the same forums. and go to the Pioneer forum to start and discuss. If you can establish yourself with outstanding exotic wood cases, the following there is limitless.

Affordable, exotic, outstanding, and exceptional are the keywords here. I’m sure some of you interested could make ‘templates’ and finished product for many, many common vintage models that are constantly posted.

Are you referring to rack cabinets?

No rack cabinets. Exotic replacements for 30-70 year old walnut or worse veneered vintage receivers/amps cases. See my avatar, and browse the vintage sections at The need has always been there.
