Topic tags/keywords: curly maple tiger maple figured wood

I sell figured lumber and will ship to the US, I have 20 board foot packs of soft tiger maple lumber for sale. They are 4” to 7” wide and I can cut them into 48” lengths. The stock is rough, but I can plane it for you to whatever thickness you want. The pack costs 75$ plus shipping. I live in Wisconsin and have been building custom furniture for over 30 years. I do carry lots of other figured lumber , birdseye maple, curly cherry and flame birch.
Email me at bob at or though here. I would be glad to answer any questions you have. Thanks. bob

Couple questions for you:

What is the current, pre-planed, thickness of the lumber?

How much would shipping, for 48” lengthes, to Anniston, Alabama 36207 add to the costs?

Thank you.

The stock is sawn at 1 and 1/8” thick. It is kiln dried , select and better stock. Normal shipping is around 1 to 2$ per pound depending on location and if it goes to a business. I would need a phone number also for Fed EX. Any other questions, I would be happy to answer. Thanks, bob

That is not a bad price for Tiger maple. I am buying soft, curly Maple in a store for $3.34 a BF right now. No shipping needed. that could change. Could you send me prices for any other figured woods you have and shipping costs to 96114. You might also advertise on woodnet forums or I am sending a message with my email.

4/4 rough kiln dried select and better white birdseye is 7$ board foot. Natural color, what I call brown birdseye, heavy eye, is 5$ board foot. It contains both white[sap] and brown[heartwood] in the boards. Both are very well figured. The white does get a bit of mineral streak on some of the ends, but I try and trim that off. 8/4 birdseye, white is 12$ board foot. bob

Bob is also the guy who provides material for some of our show projects and has the premilled side material for out little Bombe Box, good guy to know.

Hi Steve. In 20 board foot lots it is 4.50 foot, 90$ plus shipping. Wide stock is priced differently. This is stock, 4” TO 8” wide. 48” long. Kiln dried, select and better. 8/4 is 10$ board foot. Very hard to find. I will be getting some wide 8/4 stock out of the kiln next week. It will be higher priced, but it will be 12” wide or more and over 2” thick. I do sell legs all turned from any of the 8/4 stock I carry. Email me if you want pictures or to know more about the legs.

Hi Bob,

Could you message me with a list of all your lumber and prices? If you could provide a shipping rate to 29204, that would be a big help also.

Sandhill, I have just domestic figured wood. Birdseye maple, tiger maple, curly cherry and flame birch. I don’t carry anything else. Sorry.
Mosquito, I am between Green Bay and Appleton. I certainly would offer local pickup, no problem. I do have to charge sales tax for instate sales.
4/4 curly cherry-6$ foot, 8.50 ft for wide stock in 20 foot bundles.
4/4 soft tiger maple-75$ for a 20 foot bundle
4/4 hard tiger maple-95$ for a 20 foot bundle
4/4 flame birch- 90$ for a 20 foot bundle.
I do have some 5/4 soft tiger maple at 5.50 foot in 20 foot bundles
5/4 hard tiger maple is 6.75 foot in 20 foot bundles, wide stock is 8$ foot
8/4 soft tiger maple is 7$ foot
12/4 tiger maple is 12$ ft
16/4 tiger maple is 18$ foot
4/4 white birdseye is 7$ foot in 20 ft bundles
4/4 natural color birdseye is 5$ foot in 20 foot bundles.

If you want to get large quantities, I can do better in pricing. bob
