Topic tags/keywords: question lumber suppliers clubs

My family recently move to the Northwest and I was wondering if any fellow Northwest Lumberjocks from the Portland / Vancouver area could pass along some information. Where is a good place to buy hardwoods and sheets goods in the area? Also are there any good woodworking or woodturning clubs in the in the area?

Thanks,
JIM

Have you checked out Crosscut Hardwoods yet? I know they have a big store in Portland, I buy from them up here in Seattle.

For woodturning clubs, check out the American Association of Woodturners homepage. Then click on AAW local chapters link. Good luck.
