Did something change with the forum list? When I used to click on Forums at the top of the page it used to bring up the list of forums, now it brings up “All Topics?” -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |

Yeah, isn’t it cool! Wayne, just look at the third link closest to the threads where is says ”Show All Forums” and click there if you need to select a particular forum. -- HorizontalMike -- "Woodpeckers understand..." |

Yep…I was starting to think I changed some option by accident. -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |

Yup, I removed the list of the forums by default as it was taking too much space. Clicking on ‘Show all forums’ will show them. |

Oh Martin, that’s EVIL ! (Wayne, I had the same “problem”) -- Glen, B.C. Canada |

That’s a good move, Martin. FWIW, I’m still not happy about the way non-woodworking posts are being handled. I can’t believe anybody really likes seeing the posts with the actual titles hidden. But, hey…. maybe that’s just me. -- Charlie M. "Woodworking - patience = firewood" |

Thanks for clarifying Martin. I thought I was having a senior moment like Glen had mentoned. LOL. -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |

SENIOR MOMENT! WHAT???? WHO ARE YOU, AND WHY AM I READING THIS? |
#9 posted 12-11-2011 02:29 AM |
I am not happy about needing to do an extra navigation step to get to the only couple of forums that I read. I love this site, but between this, all of the ads, etc. I’m getting a bit disillusioned. Why would you mess with the recipe that has made you such a success? -- You can't control the wind, but you can trim your sails |

there shouldn’t be any changes re: ads … it all looks the same, UNLESS you aren’t logged in. -- ~ Debbie, Canada (https://www.facebook.com/DebbiePribele, Young Living Wellness ) |

Being relatively new to this forum, but having been around for a while on some others, I have to say that I really like the way this one runs. Posting pictures is super easy…..I really appreciate the posting interface you have set up here. I noticed the change recent change as well and think it’s a good one too. As far as off-topic posts…...I have to say that I noticed that immediately when I got to this forum, and I really like it. Requiring an extra click to get into all the non-woodworking stuff really helps to set a tone….and to keep that tone set at woodworking. More than a few other forums are really overrun with the non-topic stuff. That said, I don’t mind having a non-topic section. I think it’s cool to be able to discuss non-topic things among otherwise like-minded people. I haven’t looked at any of those posts, but it’s nice that you can put down the planes and hammers and step into another room to discuss tattoos and politics if you choose. |

I like having the titles of off-topic stuff hidden. -- Don't anthropomorphize your handplanes. They hate it when you do that. - OldTools Archive - |
