Topic tags/keywords: minimax fsb 35 jointer question

I just picked up a well used FSB 35 and am rehabbing it. There doesn’t appear to be any manual for this machine and pictures I’ve found have been limited.

Does anyone have any pictures or information on how the jointer setup works and how height adjustment works on the tables? I don’t see any easy way on mine to raise or lower the feed side of the jointer to adjust depth of cut.

Thanks in advance.

Infeed adjustment is via a longish lever on the right side. It actually pivots off the center of the table on the underside.

I ‘ll assume yours is missing ?

Outfeed is adjusted via shims, and is another discussion.

Ah ok that helps. I think I have the lever but have never seen a jointer adjust like that. I’m still getting rust off parts and have to fabricate new hinge blocks on one of the tables so I can actually get it set up (they were missing when I bought it).

Do you have the same (or similar) model? If you do would you be able to take a few pictures of that part of your machine so I can see if I’m missing anything else?

Thanks for your response.

Sorry , I don’t have that jointer. I’ve just been around the block a few too many times. And, SCM is headquartered about 10mi. from my house.

A google image search should turn up some photos for you to compare. And give SCM a call , they just might be able to dig up documentation on it for you.

Have your say...
