I have a Woodtek Light Duty 13” Wide Belt Sander model #CT-1332C—I bought it from a former woodworker—(God Rest his Soul) the DC Gear drive conveyor motor failed 5 years ago—it has failed again for me—i have contacted and waiting for a response from WoodWorkers Supply—this sander is discontinued—maybe i can still get parts—otherwise been looking online at gear motors—does anyone know the specs of this style gear motor—the feed speed in manual is 0 to 12 feet / min (0 to 3.7 m/min no load) of course the replaced gear motor has no spec label on it—thanks any help would be greatly appreciated—

Is the unit variable speed or just a fixed speed motor connected to the conveyor through a gearbox?

My Performax 16/32 has had the electronic speed control fail (basically a light dimmer circuit) so it wasn’t too difficult to repair. Generally these motors are tough and the gears would give signs of failure (popping/snapping sounds) before they break.

Might be worth checking the internals of the speed control (if equipped) for any loose wires or burnt parts.

Welcome to LumberJocks.

+1 Check the motor speed control output, electronics often die before the motor.

WoodTek CT-1332 sander was made by Chiu Ting Machinery Co., Ltd in Taiwan, and also sold under the Geetech brand label in a different color. If Woodtek is unable to help you find manual/parts for the machine, Geetech has English speaking customer service staff that are available via email/phone. In past, they have directly sent me Geetech manual not available online. Even if direct parts are not available for purchase, both should be able to provide basic motor specifications or original mfg PN to help with finding a similar replacement.

Best Luck.
