DW735X Thickness Planner Banging Noise

The chain on the left side of my planner broke and I replaced it. It ran fine for about 10 nibbles and it started a loud banging noise. It appears to be coming from the opposite side by the thickness control wheel. Also the tension on one side of the sprockets is very high, both sides of the planner. I took it all apart and reassembled everything and it started doing it again. Does anyone have any advice?

just thinking….you say chain broke, maybe reason chain broke was the problem and putting on new chain didn’t correct what caused?
