Hey guys. I am currently running a huanyang vfd and 2.2kw spindle for a cnc router. I’m wanting to upgrade to a 5hp spindle, but I don’t want to get another huanyang. What are the other manufacturers y’all would recommend? Thanks |

I guess it depends upon how much you want to spend. We’ve been running a 5HP Hiteco for over 2 years and are happy with it. But it costs around 5K without the tool holders (around $140 each). That’s a good price for an ATC spindle but may be more than you’re looking to spend. Perske spindles are also pretty good. We used to have one but it was replaced after the spindle taper wore out. The nice thing about ATC spindles is that the tapers are in the toolholders and can be replaced for $140. -- See my work at http://altaredesign.com |
