Well, his name is Rich after all, though I usually use a euphemism. Happy New Years, everyone. -- Nathan, TX -- Hire the lazy man. He may not do as much work but that's because he will find a better way. |

Out? Heck no. I value honesty. LeeRoy on the other hand…. :) I caught myself mid-sentence saying to my wife that 2022 couldn’t be any worse. I decided to switch to saying that there’s much room for improvement over last year. Let’s hope it happens. -- Half of what we read or hear about finishing is right. Sometimes better to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised when it is better than expected. -- Nathan, TX -- Hire the lazy man. He may not do as much work but that's because he will find a better way. |

Let’s hope we’re pleasantly surprised then, Nathan. Also, thank you for sharing the thread with me. I know I can be a jerk at times, but you’re a good guy and I value your input. Speaking of lazy, I think I told you this story long ago, but I’ll share it here again. In engineering school one of our required courses was mechanical engineering statics. I had the coolest prof. He was just a couple of years away from retirement. He’d look over his glasses at you and sounded just like Jimmy Stewart. His message was always that engineers are lazy. That’s why they’re always looking for better ways to get things done. I never forgot that. So, stay lazy, Nathan! And Happy New Year! -- Half of what we read or hear about finishing is right. Thanks Rich. It sounds like I would have liked that professor. Happy New Year everyone! -- Nathan, TX -- Hire the lazy man. He may not do as much work but that's because he will find a better way. |

Happy New Year everyone! Rich – I am a software engineer by trade…well technically software architect by title…but I can assure you I am lazy. I would rather spend a week writing code to solve a 5 minute problem just so a computer can handle that problem and it never bothers me again. |

Your posts on the hand plane thread are amazing. You have a gift, sansoo22. Happy New Year to you, too. I’m an ancient software junkie, dating back to the IBM 360 days and ending with dot net. Thank God that’s over. -- Half of what we read or hear about finishing is right. We just don’t know which half! — Bob Flexner |
