When I try, I get a message saying I need to have 5 posts. I’m up to a whopping 7 and I still can’t send PM’s. I’ll admit that’s not a lot of posts, but I usually just read the tool reviews and don’t have a lot to say. Do I just need to get a few more posts in? Don’t really want to just make fluff posts to up my count. Thanks.

Well you are up to 8 now with this topic which is basically like the other one you posted. If what I suggested in the other one doesn’t work try posting multiple replies to your own topic. Perhaps it counts the 5 replies from 12 months or something like that. If that doesn’t work try to get in touch with Cricket and see if she can help.

Answer everyone who posts you until you get there.

Could also be that they have you blocked but I can’t imagine that you’ve been active enough to make any enemies here

I don’t think that’s it, they asked me to PM them about a tool they have available. but I’ll take the good advice about answering or replying to lots of stuff until I “make it” :)

It’s probably got something to do with how long it took you to get the first 5 posts. There’s probably some algorithm that looks for you to post 5 times in 90 days or something.

If one of the spammers whose posts have been deleted sent you a PM and you hadn’t deleted it before their account got whacked, you may have problems viewing your inbox.

There are a few bugs in the code around here.

The sys admins of this site are attempting to thwart spammers who dump ads on this site in bulk.
It is super annoying when it happens and it takes a considerable effort to clean up each time.

Once they figure out you are human, your permissions should increase.

Can you see your inbox, if somebody PM’s you?

Yes, I can also reply. I just can’t pm someone unless I’m responding to someone who’s pm’d me. My workaround was to post on a thread for the person to contact me. They did, and I ended up buying a really nice Stanley Bailey #5 from him.
