Topic tags/keywords: question resource disston disston and sons saw rustic antique

Yesterday evening I was on my way to a saw mill for a supply run when I remembered a FB Marketplace post I saw for some old 1950’s, all original Coca-Cola crates for $10 ea. It was on my way & being the Coca-Cola connoisseur that I am, I had to stop. So I get there & the guy has a pole barn full of dated tools, toys, collectors items so he asks if there’s anything else I’m looking for. I ask if he’s got any old woodworking hand tools & he says not really but I’ve got a couple old saws. He walks to a workbench & hands me 2 long saws & says the one has a chip on the handle, u can have em both for $5. I didn’t have much time so I paid for my stuff, gave him a business card & hit the road. I knew I’d found something cool but I don’t kno a lot about them. When I got in the truck I looked closer & smiled when I wiped the brass buttons that read Warranted Superior on one & Disston & Son’s on the other. After some research today I’ve found that particular Disston logo was used between I think 1896 & 1917. It’s got initials carved into it along with the yr 1920. I don’t kno much at all about the other but the logo is almost the same other than the print around the edge. Any more information about these saws history or value would b much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I was trying to upload pics but I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m not paying for photobucket for just this forum but they’re currently on there & set as public. My username is AZCUSTOMDESIGNS.

You can do that too. Just edit it.
