Topic tags/keywords: question

Even asks me IF I am “Human”? Been blogging here for almost 11 years? Now I can’t unless I sign up to an “account”? Total BS! I’m ALWAYS logged in to this LJ site….Why should I have to log in to someone else’s site?

STOOPID.

Tried to post the FIRST blog in over 6 weeks this morning…and now it is off in Limbo-Land?

Explain IF you can….plus HOW do I get me blog to post….All typed out, and WAITING to post. Hmmm….

Ever once in a while I get “logged out” of LJ for some unknown reason but I assume it is a windows update that is responsible.

Are you using a mobile device on AT&T by any chance? If I have to log on while on mobile and not connected to wifi, it almost never lets me re-login. I either have to connect to wifi or turn on VPN on my phone or ipad to trick it into thinking I am not a spammer, though I generally never get to the are you a human check.

Not sure why they are so concerned about aliens on Lumberjocks. ;-)

when I log in from my phone, it logs me out from all the computer. When I log into the computer, it logs me out of the phone. Don’t know why. It didn’t ask if I was human. I”m not sure how I would answer that.

I access the site on 3 different computers, signing in on one automatically logs me out on whichever one was the last I used.

I just went and opened a Blog, like I would if I started a new one. No sending me off site, no anything different than always.

The little hairs on my neck stick up anytime I get directed off to somewhere else, no matter what site I’m on. In general it’s a bad sign. If you have Anti Virus, Malware blocker/killer, I’d be running it, clear your cache, and restart after checking for any updates on the operating system, and any and all software that kills uglies.

More likely a malware. But I agree the behavior sounds like a problem.

I used to have the problem where if I sign on with another device, it signs me off the other but that no longer seems to happen. I frequently switch between my iPad (on WiFi) and my desktop PC and I rarely have to sign back on again.

Bandit, the first thing I would try is to completely sign off (very bottom of the drop down list in upper right hand corner) and sign back on. And a virus scan is not a bad idea.

One more thing to try is a different browser. Which browser are you using? I switched back to Firefox last year because Chrome just got way too invasive (too much tracking). So much better experience overall than Chrome or MS Edge. Firefox seems to work much better than it used to and even reduces the number of ads without having to install an ad-blocker (which I don’t trust because many are hosted in countries that don’t have the best track record related to hacking and other nefarious activities).

Running Firefox. Ghostry scans 24/7. IObit scans 3 times a night.

And yet..here I am posting this little blurb with no trouble? Hmmmm. And, to top it all off, my name ain’t TED!

May try again later….IF I feel like another 1/2 hour’s worth of entry work…...

Alrighty..went along with the posting,,, even tried to redirect me….some sort of “Cloudfare” BS….BLOG is posted, NOW. Most have ID’ed all the “boat” shaped objects. Despite rumours to the contrary…YES, I am Human…

Most of the time I can’t get past the “Your IP is marked as SPAM, and cannot register on this forum!” block. I’m already registered, but Cricket says she can’t do anything about it. In any case, blocking IP addresses doesn’t work, because the great majority of Internet users have no control over their public IP addresses. Most users get dynamic address assignments, so our public addresses change. It’s like blaming a hotel room for what people do inside it.
