I have absolutely zero experience or knowledge about epoxy/resin pours, but I love the way some of the finish pieces I've seen turn out and I'd love to learn more about it. However, most of the YouTube videos I've seen on the subject don't start from SQUARE ONE for total epoxy noobs like myself, and I find I'm lost on most of them pretty much from the start.
I was hoping someone could recommend a good epoxy/resin 101 series of videos on YouTube to get me started. Any suggestions? Thanks!
To start with you will need a level, a propane torch, a spreading trowel and I use a foam brush for spreading and coating sides. and follow the directions on the resin exactly…like the mixing time ..very important for a complete mix of A and B. Look at Stone Coat countertops.
I think most videos don't cover the absolute start of this process but you may find some websites which may guide you through pictures. However, the best way I find to learn something is by seeing and doing it firsthand under some experienced person. So, If you have a workshop near you where you can go and learn that would be better.
Bo specific recos, but maybe also search for "river tables", they've become a minor rage recently. Since a big part of building one is poring the epoxy for the river section, you may find one that's helpful.
Check out Blacktail studio and Black Forrest, both outstanding and extremely detailed.
