New user here so cannot send any PMs to anyone yet. I split my time between two locations and in one (internet via cable provider) I have no problems posting but in the other, I can’t even log in as my “IP is marked as spam”.

Now I actually have two entirely different ISPs at that location – one ADSL and the other Starlink satellite. These have completely different IP addresses, as the ADSL is a dynamic address but within a range and “geo-located” whereas the Starlink depends on what base station the satellites are currently using (could be almost anywhere in the USA). Yet both IP’s are flagged. I have also tried switching browsers to no benefit.

Just one of those things to live with? Sort of limits the usefulness of the site for me. Many thanks

Only suggestion I have is sign up for a VPN. Good thing to have anyway and it should solve you problem.

I looking into one them and plan on signing on soon.

My VPN won’t log in here. If I am logged on already it’s ok.

I believe our resident spammers who have sometimes created havoc here are the reason, and mgmt, has put into place some kind of block that is responsible. Not sure how, but evidently they are just blocking legitimate business lines, as well as possible spammers.

Actually I’ve tried 3 of the top rated VPN’s, and none of them worked here. Nord, SurfShark, Express VPN, haven’t worked. They were all very good in general, just not with Goofle or here.

This topic has been around, Seems its an AT&T issue. with my cell phone it happens. I can log on to LJ from any Wi-Fi location, Home, work, guest anywhere. And then leave that area so that I am back on mobile AT&T and it works fine. sometimes for days. I just never log off. But if I log in on my PC at home, it will boot me off the site on my phone. I suppose I can only be logged on to same account on one devise at a time. So as long as I don’t try to log on away from a Wi-Fi, I get it to work fine. Even if I leave the wifi area after I get logged on.
PIA I know. But that’s the hoop I jump through all the time.

John I don’t have AT$T I think it’s merely banks of numbers that companies, and evidently spammers buy, they somehow get earmarked as a “SPAM” number, and instead of any of the carriers doing squat about global piracy, they end up getting large banks of numbers blocked.

Fear not though. I just read that Congress is now initiating measures to fix the growing SPAM, theft, Piracy, BS, problem. IOW if you think it’s messed up now, wait till they implement a fix.
