Topic tags/keywords: unisaw fence help

When I bought my one Unisaw it came like this.
I have a Unifence to put on it but I have no idea how.

The Unifence did not come with the rail and I have no
idea how to mount it or to get one. Can someone help?

I am totally ignorant concerning a Unisaw and fence.
I’m in Wooster Ohio if someone close could come look at it
I would be most grateful. Just pm me. larry

Finding just the rail will be the hard part… mounting it is fairly easy. You generally only see the rails being sold along with the fence body, not separately. Fortunately you have the original micro-set fence which, while some people dislike, is still very functional when properly adjusted.

I’d put a few ‘want to buy’ ads around the net, like in the BOYD section of OWWM and the ‘trade and swap’ forum here at LJ’s. Also keep an eye out on e-bay and similar sites. You may get lucky and find one quickly.

Cheers,
Brad

Thanks Brad. I have a longer one that is complete it is a 50 or 54 inch, somewhere in there but i don’t want that much length. The micro fence that I need is the 36 inch. I’ll take a look where you suggested. larry

If you want a Biesemeyer fence all you have to do is cut it down to 36”. I just replaced mine with an incra fence. You can have it all you have to do is drive 3hrs each way. I live north of Ft Wayne Indiana.

Nick424: Thanks a bazillion!!! What a guy!! You gave me the rail and even delivered it to me and on top of that, you installed it for me and gave me some hints and a little education about it.

To top it off, that small beautiful wodden box that you made full of Scripture cards made of finely finished wood and lazered with your wifes hand writing is fantastic. So beyond anything that I could ever have expected.

Guys, drop in on his projects page and take a look. Really nice guy and skilled, what more can I say.
