I’ve always had amazing service at Lee Valley including on returns and special orders but I just got something that takes the cake. Out of nowhere they send me a partial refund with a note that an item I purchased 4 months ago has decreased in price so they are sending me the difference. Turned out to be a check for almost 10% of the price I originally paid for my Kreg router table in April! I have never seen a store do that in my life and thought I’d share. Some stores do it if you have a receipt and something later goes on sale but something as proactive as this is pretty impressive and I thought I’d share.

Now, if they could only ship the plane kit I bought back in April which has had the delivery pushed back 6 times!

I love Lee Valley, but my patience is wearing thin.

Goodsh, that’s awesome. It highlights Lee Valley’s customer service and integrity!

I ordered a 3/4 inch blade for my Veritas large router plane in June. It was back ordered and supposed to ship in early July. That date was pushed to early September.

Today I received an email saying that it had shipped!!

I know, it’s only one tiny little item but maybe it is a sign that the supply chain is improving.

Hang in there Devin.

Have ordered off and on from Lee Valley for many many years. The catalos are the best in the industry as far as seeing what an item is or finding something to solve a problem. That is backed up with good quality goods. Only one other company have I ordered from for as many years. Not sure how many, probably 50 or more.

I’m definitely a Lee Valley fan – love their hand tools in particular.

We always have fun when one of the catalogs shows up in the mailbox. One of my favourites: “The rock rake picks them up for transfer to a wheelbarrow or bucket, or even for surreptitious dropping over a fence…”

They sent out a sharpening guide earlier this year, and after reading it I had a “D’oh!” moment when I figured out what I had been doing wrong. “Oh, that’s what a micro-bevel is!”

Have your say...
