There seems to be a stain applied. For a stain to work, the wood has to be lighter than the end result, so I am going to bite at this apple and take a guess.

Is it pine?

I’m just going to the least likely answer because you said it’s a trick question, but limiting my answers to light colored woods. However, it could possibly be the light colored sapwood of something darker.

Am I even close? Way off?

I mean, if there is no stain, I might be tempted to say Makore

LoL, I thought of that possibility too. Potentially plastic?

It’s really super hard to tell because the image is lacking detail. Zooming in does nothing to help.

I’m not even sure how big the thing is. Could be 6 inches tall or 6 feet tall.

The coolest answer I think would be if it was 3D printed using a filament that mimics the color of wood (though there is also the possibility it is 3D printed with actual wood filament).

clue: i would say its more “frosted” than “stained”

WOW, and if anyone can pull that off, it’s Duff! Would like to see his nemesis (Buddy) try that one (not that I think he can’t do it, on the contrary if there was a second person that could pull that off, it might be Buddy).
