Finally gotten time when Beloved Spouse is away from home to get some things done. Have been needing a folding outfeed table for the Dewalt 745, which is on a shop made rolling cart. Several ideas have presented themselves, but for the time being at least, I needed something quick to make, easily assembled and disassembled and easily stored. I have a 20” X 48” folding table I bought several years ago, which gets put to any number of uses. This would be great, except it is at regular dining table height. It needed to be equipped to raise it up for use with the table saw. After considering a few ideas, the best solution, quickly done with materials on hand in the shop was the leg extensions shown below. Nothing more than 3/4” dowel rod cut long enough to raise the top to the desired height, plus two inches to go up into the tubular legs. A pin made of a 4D nail is put through a hole just below the two inch mark and bent into a Z shape to hold up the legs. Rubber feet will be added to keep them from slipping.
