Just left Lowes and noticed the Delta TS had a yellow clearance label, $579 originally $649. If you had been thinking about this saw thats a great price.

New in Box, Open Box or floor display? Personally, I would only accept the NIB and maybe the Open Box if it looks like it is still packed like it was originally and I have full returnability. I would never buy that saw as a floor model. The ones in stores near me look pretty abused most of the time.

Its whatever new in stock they have left. If someone was thinking about that saw its a great price. Even a floor model is less risky than CL, plus still returnable. Not that there are many TSs on CL to begin with

This is totally store dependent.

My stores still have them at reg. price.

Mine was brand new but the box looked like it had sat around and been moved many times, got mine for 450 and it had never been opened, just looked bad.

When Lowes cleared out a bunch of Delta’s larger wood working tools a number of years back they had a JT360 on the floor with a price tag of $250ish.(See Below)

https://www.amazon.com/jt360-shopmaster-4-horsepower-jointer-230-volt/dp/b00006k00q

I figured I couldn’t go wrong at that price so I told the guy “I’ll take it.” After a short scavenger hunt, they pulled from the top rack a few aisles away, an intact box that had definitely seen better days. No worries, I had a factory warranty.
We forklifted it to checkout and the cashier said, “That’ll be $209 and change”. I said that couldn’t be right, the tag on the floor model said $250. She argued back, rather indignantly, and pointed at the screen that showed a Delta JT360 for $190something plus tax. Clearance Price. I shut up, got it in the back of my truck and drove to the next 2 Lowes I could find.
Well I’d gotten the last one in town. I assembled it and found it complete and unharmed. Reinforced the stand and put it on wheels and it has served me well since.
The moral of the story is: If Lowes is clearing out Tools, go check it out.

In this instance , I don’t think that is the case.

It’s simply a particular store manage has decide to lower that one. And 10% off isn’t exactly clearance priced in my view. YMMV.

$60 off $250 from the display to the cash register is 24%. And at the time you couldn’t find even benchtop jointer for $250, let alone a 46” long w/stand. I’d call that a heck of a discount.

The assume game must be fun for you , but guess again. These were corporate signs, similar to a bunch of other tools they are getting rid of like some of the vacmaster shopvac models to make room for all of the new Craftsman vacs taking their place. This is in multiple stores.

Here’s a “corporate” link :

https://www.lowes.com/search?searchTerm=delta+saw

Wanna show us the tablesaws that are on special with get rid of pricing ?

The sale is local to you , or regional at best.

May have been “corporate” signs. But this isn’t corporate wide. I’m in the 725 owners group on FB. Been like this for a week or so that some stores are clearing them out. The overwhelming majority of stores are not.
