Just repaired washer. Asked repair guy if anything is made well cause we have had a ton of problems in 3 yrs. answer-

Nope, they are all junk. Buy something for 5-600$ and throw it away in a couple years. Rinse and repeat.

Good luck.

What can go wrong with a stove?? Probably the most reliable appliance you can buy because no motors

Similar reply when I had my 1980s Maytag washer repaired. Repair guy said they can fix newer stuff IF they can find the parts. Problem is the appliance makers don’t care about support outside the warranty window and they don’t make any effort to reuse part numbers in the next model. Whatever they can find cheapest at the time is what they use.

FWIW my dad used to work at the appliance section of Home Depot. At the time, which was about 3 yrs ago, Bosch and LG were the two brands they got the least warranty claims on.

The ignition system was the first thing to go on my last stove- no pilot light saves gas. I’m sure that the gas I would have saved if the stove had lasted a thousand years would have paid for the ignition system. :D YMMV

Electronics, had a 5 yr old electric stove circuit board fail. The worst part was that the the oven failed on high, would never shut off. Cost more for the part than buying a new stove.
