What part of supply and demand are you having difficulty with?

And in the not too distant future, the pine will be cheaper again. What goes up will come down.

The OP has been pining for the low costs of OAK again, but he is going to pine away if he doesn’t realize that everything will be AOK.

What part of prices of commodities, like lumber, gasoline, corn and beans and more go up till demand slows, then prices drop till demand increases, over and over and over again. It is part of life. It is a free market economy. Unless you want government wage and price controls.

Don’t know about the free market stuff and we have wage and price controls now just not in the direction you think. There’s a put, a floor beneath the perceived value of paper assets. GFC recovery mode for 10+ years now

I can’t control prices, and I am not raising my blood pressure over it. If I don’t like the price I don’t buy it.

I love reading people talking Keynesian Supply and demand MACRO Economics who live in a country (the US) that gave all that up a very long time ago. SHEET! China is more of a free market compared to the U.S.
