Topic tags/keywords: jet jointerplanet jointer won’t run

I have a 12” jet jointer/planet combo and I was adjusting the infeed and outfeed tables to get them coplanar, and now the machine won’t turn on in the jointer position. When I flip over the dust shroud the machine works in the planer position. The machine ran fine in both positions before adjusting the set screws to obtain coplanar.

I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem? Is this an issue with the safety switch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A quick look at the manual shows a limit switch in the starter circuit. Maybe something is in the way of it closing properly. Just a wild guess on 30sec of research.

Have your say...
