I have a 4 ft round hobbit house door that I would like to put hinges on the inside
and have it swing to outside. Any suggestions

Try searching, there was another thread here not long ago with the same topic that had some interesting ideas.

I might try pins at top and bottom into the frame and door. Door could swing in or out unless you add a door stop.

One technique for putting hinges on a round clock bezel is shown in the attached picture. Of course the partial circle needs space to swing open so the door frame would need to protrude out far enough for this to happen

Fellow Jock Johan in South Africa did a nice looking job on his a few years ago. It looks like the trick is to custom make hinges that also support the entire door.
