I want to get some advice on how to best secure the top drawers to the top of the vanity. I had thought about just gluing them to the top but there may be times when it would be helpful to have the ability to remove them if needed. I also thought about screwing them down to the top from the underside. What do you guys think?

I don’t think there is only one way to do this but if this were my project, I would use screws.

Yes. Screw from underneath.
Nice looking project, BTW.

I would probably screw from underneath, but it depends on your purpose.

You could use a flat bar on the back, the way they used to attach mirrors to vanities.
That way if you ever wanted to remove the drawers, you wouldn’t have holes in the top.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your input. I’m going to try LeeRoyMan suggestion of using the flat bar to hold the drawers and the mirror that goes in between the two drawers. It that doesn’t work then I will screw them down.

Have your say...
