Topic tags/keywords: wood identification

Would anyone know what kind of wood this is. The one on the far right I will include a picture of what it looked like before it was turned as well , light wood brownish grain / spots

Nice turning. Shame you don’t have the leaves. The best way to locate what wood it is is the leaves.

The picture with the 4 pieces looks like Hickory on the far right. I got some from near Branson, Missouri that had those similar ring stains. the top picture also shows the stains as well…........... Jerry (in Tucson)

I am cutting up a HUGE Bitternut Hickory right now. Still working on the limbs for firewood and that is a dead ringer for it. All hickory may look the same but that is a hickory log.
