Couple days ago posted a blog linking Robin G. Dalziel’s web site, “Turning For Profit.” This site ideal for turners of all levels levels. One of many common sense web sites that have nice to know information. Well that blog entry gone, and no explanation why. Have no monetary gain for linking that site nor wishing offend anyone. Main motivation was one place to go for lot of common sense advice for both new & old woodturners. Again hope did nothing to offend anyone! -- Bill |

I saw that post before it was removed, but I’m guessing someone (or some people) thought it was a spam post, just based on the link, the name of the link, and the way the post read. Also compounded by the fact that LJ has a pretty pervasive spam problem. I thought it was spam initially too, until I saw you’ve been here >3000 days and have almost as 3000 posts. When I checked it out, it looked like a lot of good information, and didn’t even see anything for sale on the site, which is usually a good sign lol Maybe try posting again, but try to make it look less like spam? Not sure what else to say lol -- Mos - Twin Cities, MN - http://www.youtube.com/MosquitoMods - http://www.TheModsquito.com |

I agree with Mos, it was probably a knee jerk flag and removal. As a rule I don’t click on anything that doesn’t explain why I should click on it. “Click here to make money” will never get me to bite. Not saying you didn’t but if you say enough to not look like a bot left it, only then do my eyes go to your post count. If more than 10 I may bite. |

Since the post in question is gone, I will back him up in that there was more than just a link, there was at least as long as what’s in the original post of this thread -- Mos - Twin Cities, MN - http://www.youtube.com/MosquitoMods - http://www.TheModsquito.com |

Hmm, well I have enough info to look it up. My wife always tells me to open an etsy shop, who knows |

My guess is some overzealous wannabe admin flagged it. -- Half of what we read or hear about finishing is right. We just don’t know which half! — Bob Flexner |

If you had a chance to have a look at the link in my blog thank you for your kind words. Guess will never get an answer from that overzealous wanabe monitor that deleted my blog post. Thanks again! -- Bill |
