I’ve been woodworking since the late 1970’s and have gained experience along the way. I prefer woodworking in the 17-18-19 century method. I did restore an 1855 Pennsylvania farmhouse and learned how to do “carpentry”, using many period tools. My photos just touch upon the many projects that I’ve done in years.

Welcome to the site.

Thank you. The tree bench is treated lumber. I’ve made 3 sets of garden benches from treated lumber and, for the most part, didn’t have any trouble working with it, after air drying for about 3 weeks.

Very nice work there. I am wanting to try some carving but am only in the thinking stage at the moment.

Really nice work; congrats! I’m just starting on being a woodworking hobbyist… Hard to imagine ever turning it work like that. Practice makes better, I suppose.
