WTB - Lie-Nielsen Side Rabbit Plane Set

Saw one, thought they were neat, one of the least used tools in my shop.

Much easier to tune up what’s going into it.

Unless you are set on L-N, there is a Wood River version (1 plane, 2 sides) that seems functional, lists for $89, and will ship in March. A quick check of ebay has Stanley 98’s & 99’s for $65-85…

I use my no 79, but not going sell that.

I’m set on LN, but thanks.

I have the LN set, and they are one of the least used tools I have…..but, they’re worth their weight in gold when needed. Far easier to use than the Stanley single plane/2 blades (plus less blood tracks on my project).

Yup. That’s why I want them. It looks like I’ll need patience, though.

I don’t understand why they can’t make stuff during the pandemic. A few guys wearing masks in a 100 degree foundry casting bronze seems to be the least risky thing you can do right now. Yet walmart is safe? Lmao

I did see a set a while back on Jim Bodes site but they sold pretty quickly.

It could be they sold out because so many people are staying at home taking up hobbies. Guitars for example are selling like gangbusters.

Anyway there’s a pair on ebay. Looks like they’re worth new new prices on the auction market.
