Topic tags/keywords: lathe tools Hi all, I have a vintage Craftsman 9” lathe that’s been sitting unused in my garage for a few years, and I’m ready to move it along to someone who might get some use out of it. Unfortunately I don’t really know how to value it price wise. I’m looking for advice from those of you who might have experience with these older units. The bed is about 38”, and the tool rest is 12”, the motor is a Dayton 1/3. Thanks in advance! hp. |

My first lathe was very similar, It was mounted on a stand that was made by the previous owner. I think I paid about 100$ to 125$ for the lathe stand and tools thrown in. I think you will be looking for a first lathe purchaser. -- Petey |

Unmounted I think you’ll be lucky to get $100 for it. |

Assuming it works: Ask $200 – Hope $100 – Expect $50. Cheers, -- Brad in FL - In Dog I trust... everything else is questionable |

What kind of tools are those you have there? If those are the old HSS Craftsman tools, they’re worth more than the lathe :-) -- I collect hobbies. There is no sense in limiting yourself (Don W) - - - - - - - - Kenny in SW VA |
