First let me say what I’ve said many times before, This is thee best site for woodworking of all avenues, and filled with the best folks on earth and in cyber land… lol
Secondly before I forget, Merry Christmas to all here on Lumberjocks. Old and/or Young, you all count in my book. Thirdly, 2020 has been a sucky year, I’m sure for everyone in one way or another. My cup of life is ALWAYS half full, NOT half empty. We all have to stay positive and thankful of everything. I’ve pretty much been “out to lunch” out of my shop for way too long, (probably a bit more than 3 years now). Not because of health reasons, but, since I’ve been working, yes, working (I don’t consider delivering auto parts work), even tho, I still feel like I’m 30ish in my brain, my body always sets me straight, and keeps telling me to double that!! With all that said, I did have a bit of a negative year/2020….....I want to roll it up, & send it over a cliff, just like on the cartoons…. LOL First, know that I’m not looking for pity, just wanted to “catch ya’ll up” I/we lost 2 of our cats, Rockie in March, and Bullwinkle in January. Then in September, I crushed my L-5/S-1 disk. A piece of the disk broke off and lodged itself on my sciatic nerve and reeked all sorts of pain and uncomfortableness on me. Long story short, after all was done, surgery was a total homerun. I’ll say that Dr. Becherer, (neuro-surgeon) is the best on the globe. He had to fish that broken piece out from the nerves which he did with success. I’ve been back to “work” at my part time job delivering auto parts as of Dec 16th. It seems like a miracle to me, and I am so thankful and feel blessed to be walking with no pain whatsoever. I really love the “job”. Cutting up socializing and just having fun. (that’s what I live for) With all this said, I certainly appreciate all of my Lumberjocks “family”, “good, bad, and ugly”...... LOL Always, always, work/play safe. Keep those dust collectors fed. They like to eat dust. :)
Let’s all of us have a better 2021.

Glad you are making a recovery. Happy New Year

As far as 2020 goes all I can say is we survived. No medical problems here but one of the Oregon wild fires caused us to evacuate for 10 days and came within less than 1/2 mile of our home…many of our friends and neighbors lost their homes.

Roger,

We don’t know each other, but wanted to say hi, and glad you are out of pain. Sorry about the cats. I lost my dawg in April. I’d like to see 2020 go too.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all of us.

Happy to hear you are on the mend Roger – back pain and especially sciatica nerve pain and the worst.
We lost 2 cats last year as well but we adopted 2 more from feral mothers and we got lucky and captured one of them. Actually it wasn’t a capture because she came to us when we called her. We had been training her for 3 months and we got her fixed and adopted.
here’s one of the brats

Merry Christmas to all

Be careful and take care of yourself. Get a new kitten so you will have something to occupy your mind.
