Should the washer for my miter saw blade sit with the flat side facing out or in against the blade? |

I believe the flat side against the blade. -- Woodworking is like a vicious cycle. The more tools you buy the more you find to buy. |

Ditto, for sure. Unless it has a raised rim on the non-flat side, in which case that side goes against the blade. -- I admit to being an adrenaline junky; fortunately, I'm very easily frightened |

I like to take that washer and run it on some 220 sandpaper and see if its flat. Most have some imperfections from the stamping, |
