Picked up a Rob Cosman Large Tenon Saw recently, in unused condition (so many high end tools found in the wild seem to end up unused). This saw is set up with progressive pitch and my handful of test cuts indicates that it is sharp and tracks well, and is very easy to start with the 20 tpi at the toe. Only apology is a few very small dots of corrosion on the back side from storage: one is at the tooth line and one is up near handle connection. These are cosmetic and have no impact on sawing performance. NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Cosman’s stuff is all way overpriced.

Good luck!

I have owned and used just about every high end saw on the market: this is one hell of a saw. “Overpriced” is in the eye of the beholder, and I understand that high end saws are not everyones cup of tea. But for the many who do see the value in using a quality saw such as this, my price is less than 75% of new for, essentially, a new saw. I’d say its a bargain.

And now with the price reduction, this is more than 33% discount off the price of new.

That is actually a good deal, especially since you can’t really get LN saws right now. I’d probably grab it if had a wood handle. Good luck!

Have your say...
