this free 590 page wood handbook from JLC article put out by USDA. I have only taken a quick look but i do not think you can beat info presented here for free.

Thanks. The one I have was published in 1999 and this is a lot newer. Great reference book.

That’s a cool book. It’s going to take me some time to read it all but I’ll be ready to take a test next year.
